About the instructor:

Kane is a born and raised Chattanoogan. When he stopped drinking in 2023, he wasn’t necessarily looking for something to replace whiskey but as a former bartender he knew he didn’t like most mocktails or alcohol alternatives on the market. However, when he was introduced to the Gonfu style tea services that are served at Plant Bar, he experienced depth of flavor and nuances that he had only experienced before at whiskey tastings. The art of growing and processing the tea is infinitely fascinating and with hundreds of years of history behind it there is plenty to nerd out on. He hopes that this introductory course to tea will ignite the same curiosity for the Camellia sinensis plant that he experienced.
