Come join us at The Studio for a four week series about somatic dance, starting April 1.
This four-part workshop series invites you into a deep exploration of movement, breath, and sound to enhance embodiment, emotional awareness, and freedom of expression. Drawing from Feldenkrais, Continuum, and Somatic Dance techniques, each session flows through breath exercises, vocalization, fluid movement sequences, and a dance wave that builds from subtle to dynamic.
Guided by the wisdom of the elements—air, water, earth, fire, and ether—we move through a progression of practices designed to release tension, awaken the senses, and support the natural processing of emotions such as grief, anger, and joy. Through crawling, floorwork, and expansive dance, we engage the body’s intelligence, transitioning from deep listening into cathartic movement. We close in stillness, allowing insights and integration to emerge.
In the presence of community, the collective energy amplifies the healing power of movement, providing support and connection as we journey together.
Classes will take place on four Tuesdays in April: April 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 6:30-8pm at the Key to Change Studio. Please note: If you attend the March 25 introductory course, you will receive $25 off this series. Information about that course is here.
This experience offers both a ceremonial container for deep introspection and an opportunity for joyful, expressive release. Whether you're new to somatic movement or an experienced mover, this space is designed to meet you where you are.
This class is in partnership with The Chattery and the Key to Change Wellness Studio.
