In this lecture + workshop with Atlanta-based artist Shanequa Gay, participants will peel back layers through artmaking.

Attendees will engage in art-making through individual and collaborative projects that tap into the ways we play hide and seek with our true presence in the world. Using the work of professional artists as fodder, attendees will create abstract and figurative self portraits through the mediums of drawing, collaging and painting.

This engaging event will not only allow for creative expression but also foster deeper connections and self-reflection. Come prepared to unveil the hidden facets of your true self through the power of art!

Supplies: Please bring any magazines or books for use while collaging. All other supplies provided.

This event is provided through funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
