  • In-person
  • Saturday, November 21, 2026
  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • The Chattery 1800 Rossville Avenue Suite 108 Chattanooga, TN 37408
In this class, you will learn the fundamental skills of knitting by creating a scarf.

You will learn the basics of pattern reading, how to cast on, the knit stitch or garter stitch, and leave with a beginner instructional book to help you finish your project by joining yarn, bind off stitches, and weave in ends.

Please note that knitting is a slow, mindful craft and practice that requires a long time to complete a project. You will begin the scarf in class but will not be able to complete it in our time slot, however, you will leave with all the materials and instructions to finish the project on your own!

You get to keep all your knitting materials (two skeins of yarn, bamboo knitting needle and tapestry needle), the knitting pattern, and instruction book.
