Mini Mixed Media Weaving - IN-PERSON CLASS

Join us for a fun in-person class where we'll learn how to create mini mixed media weavings together!

  • In-person
  • Saturday, December 14, 2024
  • 3:30 - 5:00 PM
  • The Chattery 231 Broad Street Chattanooga, TN 37402

In this variation of Intro to Tapestry Weaving, students will be learning to weave and make their own mini mixed media weaving that can be used as an ornament or hung from a lamp, mirror, or over their desk. We will be weaving with both yarn and paper and topping it off with a clay charm that can be stamped, painted or otherwise decorated to really personalize their creation for keeping or gift giving.

All supplies will be provided, and the mini loom is yours to keep.

About the teacher:

Lisa Denney has been drawing and painting since the 8th grade. After ditching studies in biology, she earned a degree in art from the University of West Georgia, and that led to a career in rug and carpet design. She rented a studio in 2015 to get the rug design out of the house, and found a community and motivation to make art. She comes from a long line of women that enjoy crocheting and knitting and the awful craft of “plastic canvas.” She currently makes her home in Chattanooga with her man and her cat.
