Uncover the secret lives of slime molds and their sneaky resemblance to fungi in this mind-bending event!
These fascinating organisms are not molds at all! Slime molds are often mistaken for fungi, as they inhabit similar environments and look similar. They used to be considered part of the fungi kingdom, so many mycologists – such as Skye Webb – still study them. This class will cover what slime molds are, what they do in the environment, some common traits, and recent research with them. Come learn about the basics of these crazy life forms!
