Start small by customizing a light switch cover! We’ll have all the supplies and inspiration you need to paint and decorate a light switch cover to fit whatever style you want. You’ll be surprised how one small change can make a huge difference in your home.

All supplies, including light switch cover plates (standard single, rocker single) or standard electrical cover, paints, brushes, decorative paper, and more. Each participant will be able to customize 5 switchplates, but if you already have a light switch (or electrical outlet) cover you would like to bring, feel free!

About the teacher:

Melissa Hawkins is a lifelong crafter and self-taught artist who works across many mediums, including drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, and handmade jewelry. She believes the value of art lies in the act of making, not the final result.

She is constantly exploring new crafts and techniques, regardless of imperfection or how many unfinished projects she has piling up. Most pieces are made with the close supervision of her elderly diabetic orange cat, Honey, who faithfully keeps Melissa company and leaves her fur on every project.
