10. Belly Dancing 101
We partnered with instructor, Narah Nicole, to learn belly dancing basics in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
9. Mother’s Day Out with FIT4MOM
In this hands-on workshop, we created cocktails, mocktails and bouquets with our FIT4MOM community.
8. Bookkeeping for Creatives
This class covered the very basics to help creatives understand and better manage their bookkeeping responsibilities.
7. Fundamentals of Gardening
Karen Creel shared simple steps needed to get our gardens started right and most importantly, keep it growing.
6. Crocheting 101: Granny Squares
Students learned the fundamentals of crocheting which was used to make a granny square!
5. History of Hip Hop Lecture
An engaging lecture led by our board member and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga professor, Dr. Chandra Ward on the fascinating history of hip-hop and how it has served as a vehicle for transmitting the rich and complex experience of being Black in America.
4. Ladies Who Launch Happy Hour
A happy hour celebrating Women’s History Month with our partners at Common House.
3. Cake Decorating 101
Students were provided with a 6-inch premade cake (thanks to our teacher at Reignbow Baking Co.) and plenty of buttercream to learn how to create textures and piping techniques including borders and rosettes.
2. Sound Bath Meditation
Guests were carefully guided through a sound journey using many healing instruments and sound therapy techniques.
1. Candle Making 101
A very popular class led by Osha Thomas of Escential Things where students safely mixed in fragrances, and wicks then poured their own candles to take home.
