In this series, instructor Delaine Sapp will cover tuning, reading tablature, basic strumming, playing chords, and beginning music theory, all related to the mountain dulcimer. This is a skill building class meaning each week is built on the previous week's skills. Upon completion of the series, participants will be able to care for their instrument and have a working knowledge of playing tunes.

This series runs on Mondays from Monday, June 1 to Monday, July 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Chattery.

Requirements include: mountain dulcimer, pick, tuner and music stand. A notebook with handouts, highlighter and pen will be provided. Please bring the required items to each class. If you do not already own a dulcimer, please contact The Chattery at [email protected] if you need assistance with purchasing one or with getting an appropriate tuner.
